Capacity Sports Group is a leader in youth sports venues and event management. We own and operate sports facilities across the country, and we produce tournaments, leagues, and events both at our own venues and at venues operated by others.
We’re building our IT and Infrastructure function from the ground up, and we need a leader to own it. This is a rare opportunity to design a modern IT organization for a sports and entertainment company that is growing quickly across the country, rather than inherit someone else’s legacy systems.
We support roughly 300 employees across 12 to 15 venues nationwide, each with its own camera systems, video systems, and networked technology. This senior role owns the IT side of that environment: cybersecurity, infrastructure, compliance, hardware and asset management, vendor relationships, and bringing new and existing locations onto consistent standards. Our software engineering team handles product; you handle everything else.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
Cybersecurity. Build and run our security strategy, incident response plan, and employee training program.
Infrastructure. Own network and Wi-Fi performance across corporate and venue locations nationwide.
Video and data capture. Organize and systematize the fixed camera and data capture systems across our portfolio.
Hardware and assets. Design how we buy, deploy, secure, and track company laptops, phones, and other technology assets across the organization.
AI strategy. Recommend where AI creates real value for the business, and help shape how we adopt and govern it across the enterprise.
Compliance. Manage data privacy, website compliance, and regulatory requirements.
Vendor management. Select and manage the outsourced specialists and MSPs who help you execute. You are the architect and accountability owner, not the entire IT department.
Standards across sites. Lead the technology onboarding of new locations as we grow, building a playbook that gets faster and cleaner each time.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
10+ years in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, or technology operations, with real seniority.
Experience managing technology across multiple locations.
A track record of managing outsourced vendors and MSPs effectively.
Experience consolidating different technology environments onto a common standard is a strong plus.
Sports, entertainment, hospitality, or other experience across many venues is a plus.
Someone who thinks like an architect and an operator, comfortable designing systems and managing the specialists who help build them.

WHY THIS ROLE
Youth sports is one of the most active segments in the sports industry, and Capacity Sports Group is at the front of it: the venues, the events, and the technology that runs both. As our footprint grows, the technology behind it has to grow with it, and that is the work of this role.

You will build this function largely from scratch, with direct access to our executive team and real authority to shape how technology runs across a company that is growing fast. If you want ownership and impact rather than a seat in a large, established department, this is that role.
