Job Summary
Tour Guide personnel should possess a pleasant, outgoing demeanor, as well as ensure a safe, fan-friendly environment for our guests while providing guests a vast knowledge of Pirate and PNC Park history. The position includes, but is not limited to: providing benchmark customer service, monitoring tour tickets, serving as a source of ballpark information for all guests. They will also be trained to have a vast knowledge of PNC Park rules and regulations.
Responsibilities
Primary
- Set-up and takedown of all tour items; such as – Clubhouse equipment, museum equipment, treasure boxes, etc.
- Conduct tours of PNC Park as either “front” tour guide or “follow” tour guide.
- Verify tour tickets upon entrance into ballpark.
- Enforce all MLB ballpark entrance policies as they would on a game day.
- Any other duties as assigned by the Tour Supervisor or Manager, Customer Service.
Qualifications
Required
- Have a vast knowledge of Pirates history
- Have a vast knowledge of PNC Park including but not limited to; all of the policies, procedures, services and facility locations
- Must have good public speaking skills
- Must possess a friendly and outgoing personality
- Ability to customize and adapt tour delivery to cater to diverse audiences across all age groups to ensure a memorable and enjoyable experience for each guest
Physical requirements
- Long period of standing and walking
