Job Summary
As Intern, Ballpark Productions for the Pittsburgh Pirates you will ignite passion, optimism and energy while connecting with our fans, partners and colleagues. In this role you will be a brand ambassador responsible for inspiring and embracing a spirit of creativity, ingenuity, and adaptability.
The Intern, Ballpark Productions will help us connect with our fans by creating lifelong memories. This position will assist in all elements of the Pittsburgh Pirates in-game entertainment, including pre-game stats & graphics preparation and in-game execution. As Intern, Ballpark Productions you will need to be highly organized, detail oriented, with strong interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing graphic elements and day of game changes for the ballpark video displays, including headshots, statistical based graphics, and sponsored features.
- Assist in organizing and preparing A/V equipment for in-game execution.
- Shadowing and working various positions within the ballpark control room throughout the season such as replay, clip playback, Xpression, camera assistant, etc.
- All other duties as assigned by the Manager, Ballpark Productions.
Qualifications
Required:
- Authorized to work lawfully in the United States.
- Video Production or Broadcast related major.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to coordinate multiple project tasks.
- Some knowledge of Ross Xpression & the Adobe Suite.
- Good understanding of Major League Baseball and baseball statistics.
Desired:
- Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere, After Effects and other graphic/video editing software a plus.
- Experience working in a control room environment.
