The Yolo High Wheelers are the newest expansion team to the historic Pioneer Baseball League, a professional MLB Partner League. The High Wheelers are the second team of the league’s West Coast expansion. About the Role
The Certified Athletic Trainer will support the day-to-day medical operations of the Yolo High Wheelers team from mid-May to mid-September. A Certified Athletic Trainer in the Pioneer League, a MLB Partner League, needs to be an individual who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient-centered care. This individual is responsible for the daily administration of Athletic Training services including but not limited to the following:
Responsibilities:
- Injury prevention, testing, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and patient education.
- Provides appropriate referrals to team physician and other health care professionals, in accordance with the standing orders and protocols established by the team physician and medical group.
- Communicate updates and important information to the coaching staff daily.
- Analyze injury trends and provide the coaches with recommendations to reduce the likelihood of injury.
- Is present for all home games, away games, and practices during the preseason, regular season, and postseason.
- Maintains accurate medical records on all athletes.
- Participates in and documents pre and post-season, released players, and newly acquired player physicals with the team physician.
- Order supplies for the Athletic Training room.
- Additional duties to be assigned by the General Manager as needed.
Qualifications:
- National Athletic Trainer’s Association-Board of Certification in good standing
- State Licensure in good standing
- CPR/AED certification
- Professional Liability Insurance

Compensation:
The offer range for this seasonal position is $2,400 - $2,600 per month. Experience, talent, and other factors will be considered when determining the salary offered. Final offers for this role will be made within the offer range provided and include Yolo High Wheelers Team Store Discounts and Two Tickets to every home game.
