About the Team
The Yolo High Wheelers are the newest expansion team to the historic Pioneer Baseball League, a professional MLB Partner League. The High Wheelers are the second team of the league’s West Coast expansion. The High Wheelers are committed to providing a fun, innovative, and community focused baseball experience that puts Yolo and Solano County families first.

Job Description: 
As the Yolo High Wheelers Scoreboard Operator, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the fan experience by ensuring the game presentation is displayed according to standards set by your Producer. Working closely with the production team, you will be responsible for operating the scoreboard during games, ensuring that visuals are being displayed at appropriate times in-event. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate the scoreboard to display correct information in program 
  • Collaborate with Producer and Showcaller to fulfill specific counts
  • Monitor the progress of the game and make sure information is accurately displayed. 
  • Coordinate with the public address announcer/host and score keeper to ensure that all information displayed on the scoreboard is accurate and synchronized with other game elements.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues with the scoreboard operating system and work quickly to resolve any disruption in the fan experience.
  • Control Game-In-Progress layouts and advance player information as the game dictates
  • Attend any pre-production or post-production meetings and rehearsals as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience operating scoreboard systems or similar multimedia display technology preferred, specifically in a sports or entertainment setting.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, with the flexibility to adapt to changing game situations.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with other members of the production team and game operations staff.
  • A passion for baseball and an understanding of the game’s nuances, enabling you to anticipate key moments.

Compensation:
The offer range for this part time seasonal position is $16 per hour and this position runs from mid May to the end of the season in mid September.
