The Yolo High Wheelers are the newest expansion team to the historic Pioneer Baseball League, a professional MLB Partner League. The High Wheelers are the second team of the league’s West Coast expansion. Job Description:
As the Merchandise Assistant, you will work with the Marketing & Merchandise Coordinator to drive the team's presence and engagement on game days. Your responsibilities will include selling and stocking merchandise at our team store location on game days. You will assist in elevating the fan experience and optimizing merchandise sales on game day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide an exciting, positive, and fun environment for our diverse team & fan base
- Greet guests & ascertain their interest, so you may make sales recommendations
- Demonstrate ownership in cleaning, re-stocking, & any other tasks assigned by supervisor
- Present merchandise to increase sale with add on items
- Maintain inventory, merchandise placement, and accurate counts. Assist in inventory
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in merchandise coordination, retail, or a related field is preferred.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Working understanding of POS and inventory management systems like Shopify or Square
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, push, pull, run, climb stairs, and lift up to 20 pounds as needed
Compensation:
The offer range for this part time seasonal position is $16 per hour and this position runs from mid May to the end of the season in mid September.
