Job Description:
As a Game Day Camera Operator for the Oakland Ballers, you play a crucial role in capturing the excitement and action of live baseball games. You will work closely with our production team to ensure high-quality visual content is delivered to our audience. Your main responsibility will be to operate video cameras and related equipment during the production and broadcasting of live baseball games and related events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate professional video cameras to capture high-quality footage of live baseball games,
including close-ups, wide shots, entertainment, and fan reactions.
  • Collaborate with directors and production staff to fulfill specific shot requirements and follow
the action closely.
  • Set up, position, and adjust cameras, lenses, and associated equipment to achieve desired
angles and effects.
  • Monitor cameras and related equipment during broadcasts to ensure they are operational and
adjust settings as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with the production team through headset to coordinate shots and
respond to real-time direction.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues with camera equipment and perform minor repairs or
adjustments as needed.
  • Ensure all footage complies with broadcasting standards and guidelines.
  • Participate in pre-production meetings and rehearsals as required.

Qualifications:
  • Experience as a Camera Operator with a portfolio showcasing sports or live event coverage
preferred.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions in a live broadcast environment.
  • Familiarity with a range of professional video cameras, lenses, and support equipment.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical condition to handle heavy equipment and work in
various weather conditions.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative
production environment.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as baseball
games can occur during non-traditional working hours.
  • A passion for baseball and a keen eye for capturing the essence of the game.
