Job Title: Official Scorer
The Long Beach Coast is seeking a Baseball Scorer to serve as the official scorer during all home games. This role works closely with umpires, league staff, and Baseball Operations to ensure accurate and consistent live game reporting throughout the PBL season.
The Long Beach Coast is seeking a Baseball Scorer to serve as the official scorer during all home games. This role works closely with umpires, league staff, and Baseball Operations to ensure accurate and consistent live game reporting throughout the PBL season.
What You’ll Do:
- Serve as the official scorer for all home games
- Update Presto with real-time game data and results
- Record scoring decisions in accordance with official PBL rules
- Communicate with umpires, league staff, and Baseball Operations to ensure accuracy and consistency
What You Bring
- Exceptional knowledge of baseball rules, scoring procedures, and game flow, with the ability to make sound judgment calls when needed
- High attention to detail with the ability to score live game action accurately
- Previous baseball or softball scoring experience at the high school, collegiate, or professional level preferred
- Availability for all home games throughout the season, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Compensation:
- Hourly Rate: $16.90
- Location: Long Beach, CA
