Job Title: Broadcast & Media Relations Associate
The Broadcast & Media Relations Associate will serve as the primary on-air voice of the Long Beach Coast and a key contributor to the club’s broadcast and content efforts.
This role is responsible for leading all live game broadcasts while supporting media relations, content creation, and game day communications in collaboration with other members of the front office. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to launch a career in sports broadcasting.

What You’ll Do:
Broadcasting & Production (Primary Focus)
- Serve as the lead play-by-play voice for all home games
- Contribute to live broadcasts (pre/postgame, interviews, features)
- Act as liaison with Home Team Network on broadcast execution
- Coordinate with remote production crew and camera operators before each broadcast
- Support setup, execution, and breakdown of broadcasts as needed
- Monitor broadcast quality and troubleshoot issues as needed
Content & Storytelling
- Develop broadcast-driven storytelling around players and team storylines
- Conduct interviews with players, coaches, and staff
- Contribute video/audio content for digital and social platforms
- Collaborate with marketing and social teams on content integration
- Assist in shaping the voice and tone of the Long Beach Coast
- Support real-time content needs during games
Media Relations Support
- Assist with game day media operations and press box setup
- Support credentialing and media requests as assigned
- Contribute to game notes, stat packs, and postgame recaps
- Assist with statistical tracking and information gathering
- Support club leadership on communications efforts
- Ensure accuracy in all assigned materials
What You Bring:
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Strong knowledge of baseball, including stats and game flow
- Comfortable in on-air and live production environments
- Experience with live streaming platforms or production tools (HTN, OBS, etc.)
- Experience with game notes and recaps
- Experience in sports broadcasting or play-by-play preferred
- Available May–September (nights/weekends)
Compensation:
- Hourly Rate: $16.90
- Location: Long Beach, CA
