The Idaho Falls Chukars are a proud member of the Pioneer League and MLB Partner. We are looking for someone to join our team as a radio broadcaster for the 2024 season. This seasonal job will start on May 10 and end on September 15.
- An enrolled college student or recent college graduate is preferred but not required
- Applicants must have the ability to work the entire season.
- Baseball play-by-play experience is required
- Summer collegiate or professional baseball work experience is preferred
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as the No. 2 broadcaster for Chukars home games alongside Idaho Falls radio legend John Balginy, in addition to serving as the only broadcaster for all road games.
- Host and produce a pregame show prior to each home broadcast.
- Tasked with the development and distribution of relevant game day materials such as stat packs, team rosters, lineup sheets, box scores, and game notes prior to each game.
- Assist with production of the broadcast and equipment set-up/tear down.
- Conduct interviews with players and coaches.
- Writing post-game recaps and press releases for media distribution.
- Distribution of game stat packs to coaches, players, and other relevant gameday staff after games.
- Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to coordinating with team hotels and player meals on the road, community/sponsor events, and assisting with team-sponsored events throughout the season.
Compensation
- $1,500 / month in addition to per diems for travel expenses on the road.
