POSITION SUMMARY:
Warehouse Runners are responsible for executing a wide variety of warehouse activities to support concession staff including but not limited to the receiving/storing inventory, stocking drinks/food stations, and distribution of paper goods, fresh and frozen foods, as well as, prepackaged and/or finished items. Warehouse Runners have a critical impact on the safety and sanitation of our environment and must maintain their areas as well as bring attention to and take corrective action regarding any issues observed throughout the venue.  This position is also responsible for ensuring that exceptional hospitality is provided, alcoholic beverages are served safely, and food quality and sanitation standards are always maintained.
 
Candidates must be willing to work events and game-based hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as the ballpark’s schedule requires.  
 
This position will be located on-site at the BayCare Ballpark in Clearwater, FL.
  
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for pre-event setup, game operating, and post-game breakdown.
  • Responsible for securing all food and beverage items within the warehouse footprint and in each location they are assigned to deliver to throughout the arena.  
  • All employees will follow all State and Local food handling, alcohol, and safety guidelines as well as the Ballpark Food & Beverage department policies.
  • Must show demonstrated ability to meet the company standard for attendance.
 
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Able to communicate effectively with the management team, guests, and team members.
  • Must be able to work extended shifts of 10 hours or more as business dictates.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more throughout the day.
  • Must be able to reach, stoop, bend, and perform extensive standing and walking (including stairs) throughout the shift. 
  • Ability to use office equipment, including the computer system.
  • Ability to talk and hear to conduct phone correspondence.
  • Close vision and focus capabilities to view computer screens and company documents.
  • Must be able to read instructions and safety procedures.
  • Ability to work 40 hours or more per week during Spring Training and Threshers season.
