Accounting and Finance: Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable/Purchasing
Position Overview 
This position will be responsible for assisting in a wide variety of finance, accounting, and office management duties including reconciliations, creating and posting entries to the general ledger, quarterly account analysis, creating invoices, processing invoices, cash management, and assisting the Accounting Manager on operational and administrative tasks daily. Candidates must be willing to work event-based hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as the ballpark’s schedule requires.  
 
This position will be located on-site at BayCare Ballpark in Clearwater, FL.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for assisting in a variety of general accounting duties including preparing, reviewing, and posting journal entries into the general ledger, various internal and external reporting, and preparation of support for annual audits. 
  • Assist in maintaining accounting records for all work completed in an orderly functional manner. 
  • Perform general ledger account analysis and quarterly account reconciliations. 
  • Prepare and maintain schedules through the coordination of various supporting documents on a regular basis. Examples of schedules include sponsorship, parking, concessions, merchandise, special events, etc. 
  • Assist with gameday cash responsibilities before, during, and after games. 
  • Assist in invoicing clients for various business activities including sponsorship and events. 
  • Process invoices from customers for payment including coding and entering bills into the AP system.    
  • Understand the inner workings of the company and the company policies.    
  • Assist with special projects, where necessary. 
 
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting (required).   
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required; proficient in Microsoft Office.     
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.       
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously for multiple parties.      
  • Demonstrate interpersonal and organizational skills.      
  • Ability to utilize strong analytical, decision-making and strategic planning skills.       
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.        
  • Ability and willingness to work non-standard hours. 
  • Detail oriented.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment while often working independently.
