Site Director – Part-Time/Seasonal - $17/hour
Perfect Game Midwest is looking to hire Site Director’s to run our events during the 2024 season. We host events during the spring, summer, and fall seasons, starting the last weekend of March through October. This is a great part-time job for those who love baseball! What’s better than spending time hanging out at the ballpark?

Many of our tournaments incorporate a great amount of fun for the players with events like the Hawaiian Hitfest, Cowtown Showdown, and the Monster Bash with great activities. Our goals are also achieved by providing an organized event that is well run, with quality people operating it, and a level of fair and balanced competition.
  
Position Summary:
As the Site Director, you will walk the facility and check all aspects to ensure playability including fields, scoreboards, entrance gates, merchandise, etc. Our Site Director is the face of the company at each event, so they must go out of their way to say hello to spectators, players, and coaches, and to people with anything they need. Always make sure the teams know that we appreciate them being there. You will handle all aspects of check-ins, keeping brackets updated and current to make sure our teams are getting up-to-date information.
  
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:
  • Facilitating the tournament
  • Facility check: fields (bases and mounds), scoreboards, merchandise, and entrance gates
  • Communicating with the UIC
  • Communicating with the grounds crew
  • Score reporting and updating the website
  • Conflict resolution
      
 Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Knowledge of baseball
  • Friendly, outgoing, and personable
  • Reliable and punctual: arrive at the ballpark no later than two hours before the first game’s scheduled start time
  • Act respectfully and professionally
  • Ability to withstand the outdoor elements for the upcoming season
  • Ability to work weekends
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
