As the District Merchandise Manager, your primary purpose will be to support and execute initiatives that optimize revenue generation at Perfect Game events.  You’ll act as a liaison between PG Merchandising and Event Operations, ensuring all onsite teams act with speed and meet profitability goals.  You’ll also support in continuous process improvement to ensure operational gaps are identified and addressed, and new growth opportunities are explored.
 
Specific Responsibilities Include:
  • Manage various onsite regional managers  
  • Continually optimize processes for product placement, reporting accuracy (both sales and inventory reports), space utilization and inventory handling
  • Provide and review data related to inventory: sales history, specific market information, specific trends, etc.
  • Complete reconciliations on a weekly basis
  • Accurately report and maintain KPIs across the merchandising channel
  • Communicate employee guidelines and create staffing strategies across all regions.
  • Prepare work schedules, ensuring compliance with company, state and federal labor laws
  • Create planograms of onsite setups and regional assortments
  • Work with suppliers to ensure sufficient lead-time and cost efficiency
  • Assist in the development of new processes that improve the operational efficiency and of both Merchandising and Event Operations
  • Identify and communicate issues that cause disruption in the channel
 
Additional Details:
  • This a full-time position with lots of evening and weekend work  
  • The salary range for this position is $50-55K
  • Travel up to 40% will be required
 
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business-related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing people
  • Knowledge of the merchandising industry
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, V/X lookup formulas and use of formatting tools for effective data visualizations
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and familiarity with merchandising systems and data applications (Finale)
  • High level understanding of end-to-end consumer product planning processes
  • Experience in sales preferred
  • Process-development experience
  • Cross-functional collaboration – able to create and maintain a broad network within the company
  • Agile problem-solver
  • Ability to quickly identify and respond to changing internal and external market conditions
  • Shows initiative and a sense of urgency
  • Able to manage competing priorities
  • Ability to articulate clear vision for the onsite channel
  • Use storytelling to engage & influence people across all levels of the organization
