Field Manager Opportunity
Are you a seasoned baseball professional with a passion for developing talent and leading a team to success? The Pecos League Office, in collaboration with the Tucson Saguaros, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Field Manager for our upcoming Summer Independent Season. This is a unique opportunity to shape a competitive roster and guide athletes through a challenging and rewarding baseball experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively recruit and evaluate collegiate and independent baseball talent, with a specific emphasis on securing high-caliber pitching staff.
- Oversee all aspects of team management, including player development, game strategy, and in-game decision-making.
- Foster a positive and professional team environment, emphasizing sportsmanship, discipline, and player growth.
- Collaborate with league officials and team staff to ensure compliance with all Pecos League rules and regulations.
- Manage team logistics, including practice schedules and game day preparations.
- Mentor and guide players, preparing them for potential advancement in their baseball careers.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in college summer baseball, independent league baseball, or affiliated baseball coaching/management.
- An extensive and current network within college, independent, or affiliated baseball for effective player recruitment.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, recruit, and develop baseball talent, particularly pitching.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- A deep understanding of baseball fundamentals, strategy, and player psychology.
Compensation & Season Details:
- This is a paid position, with compensation provided weekly.
- The operational period for this role is from May 28th to July 28th.
