Position Overview
The Tacoma Rainiers are seeking a Game Entertainment Coordinator to join our team for the upcoming season. This is a seasonal, part-time position ideal for a high-energy, positive, and charismatic individual who loves performing, collaborating, and bringing creative ideas to life. This role plays a key part in shaping the in-game fan experience and helping take Rainiers game entertainment to the next level.
The Game Entertainment Coordinator will help lead and support our on-field Fun Squad, contribute original creative content, and ensure game presentation is engaging, entertaining, and memorable for fans of all ages.
Estimated 20 – 30 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the on-camera host for all in-game promotions, contests, and fan engagement activities
- Coordinate and support the Fun Squad throughout all Rainiers home games
- Perform in skits, promotions, and on-field entertainment during games
- Collaborate with the promotions, marketing, and game presentation teams
- Contribute creative writing and concept development for new skits, bits, and in-game moments
- Help rehearse, organize, and execute scripted and improvised entertainment
- Bring fresh, innovative ideas that elevate the fan experience
- Maintain a high level of enthusiasm, professionalism, and teamwork on game days
- Assist with pre-game preparation, rehearsals, and post-game wrap-ups
- Act as a Mascot Handler for community appearances as needed
Qualifications & Skills
- Outgoing, confident, and charismatic personality
- Strong interest in performance, entertainment, or live events
- Creative thinker with an interest in writing skits or short-form entertainment
- Comfortable performing in front of large crowds
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude and strong communication skills
- Ability to take direction while also contributing original ideas
- Reliable, adaptable, and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Previous experience in entertainment, theater, dance, improv, or sports presentation is a plus, but not required
Interview Process
A selection of candidates will participate in an audition as part of the interview process. The audition may include performance elements, improvisation, and/or creative exercises to showcase personality, stage presence, and creativity.
