COMPANY BACKGROUND The Reno Aces, Triple-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks, is Northern Nevada’s premier professional sports organization deeply rooted in the local community. Located at the base of the Sierra Nevada mountains in the heart of downtown Reno, the Aces boast excellence on and off the field.  A two-time Pacific Coast League champion (2012 and 2022), the Aces have reached the post-season in two of the last four seasons, while being supported by an outstanding fan base, enjoying the highest attendance at Greater Nevada Field since 2015.

Internship Description:
Join our Corporate Partnerships team and gain valuable hands-on experience in sponsorship execution for live sporting events. This internship offers a comprehensive look into how partnerships are developed, managed, and fulfilled, while providing opportunities to contribute directly to the success of the Reno Aces organization. 
Areas of Learning:
  • Sponsorship Fulfillment: Develop a strong understanding of sponsorship contract fulfillment, learning how contracted elements are produced and executed across departments
  • Proposal Development: Assist in creating sponsorship proposals and recap reports, demonstrating strong attention to detail, implanting guidance and incorporating feedback effectively, and strengthening time-management skills by working toward deadlines to deliver polished, professional deliverables 
  • Gameday Sponsorship Activation: Support recurring sponsorship elements, proof-of-performance documentation, and collaborating with corporate partners to ensure seamless execution before, during, and after games
  • Relationship Management: Observe and participate in partner calls, emails, and external meetings to gain insight into relationship management and communication strategies
  • Industry Research: Utilize the Sponsorship United platform to analyze industry trends and best practices across other organizations  
  • Event Planning: Shadow cross-functional teams in coordinating logistics, staffing, and on-site execution to gain insight into event flow and patron management 
Learning Objectives:
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the Corporate Partnerships department
  • Gain practical knowledge of sponsorship execution for live sporting events
  • Strengthen communication and teamwork skills through cross-department collaboration 
Internship Project:
Interns will prepare a mock sponsorship proposal, simulating a real sales meeting by analyzing a company's needs, selecting assets, and presenting their strategy – developing critical thinking skills and deepening understanding of partnership development
Timeline & Hours:
  • Duration: February 2nd, 2026 to September 25th, 2026 (dates are flexible) 
  • Schedule: 8 to 12 hours per week (4 to 6-hour shifts) 
  • Game Attendance: Interns are encouraged to attend two games per homestand (13 total homestands) 
  • Flexibility: Accommodation for academic schedules 
College Credit & Compensation:
  • May be eligible to earn college credit
  • This internship is unpaid and is not entitled to a paid job upon completion
