The Oklahoma City Comets, Triple-A Affiliate of the Back-to-Back World Series Champion Los Angeles Dodgers, play at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark in downtown OKC’s entertainment district — one of the top-ranked ballparks in Minor League Baseball. The Comets are part of Diamond Baseball Holdings, a nationwide organization focused on delivering exceptional fan experiences and community-driven events across the country.
The OKC Comets Internship Program gives college juniors and seniors the opportunity to gain hands-on, real-world experience in sports operations, guest services, partnerships, and event management. Interns play a key role in ensuring smooth game-day execution while helping create a world-class experience for fans, partners, and VIP guests.
Interns will assist with VIP tours, partner activations, and promotional kiosks on game days, while supporting stadium operations and special events such as festivals, clinics, and corporate functions. Office duties may include helping prepare partnership reports, organizing photography and marketing materials, and assisting with CRM or event documentation. Every intern will participate in training sessions and in-season projects designed to build leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
Schedule & Expectations:
Office hours will vary depending on gamedays and events happening throughout the season. Additional evening and weekend hours will be required for non-game events and community appearances.
Qualifications:
We’re looking for energetic, reliable college students with strong communication and organizational skills, who thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy working with people. Candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Office, comfortable speaking with fans and VIPs, and able to lift up to 30 lbs for setup or teardown tasks. Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays during the season is required.
This internship is ideal for students pursuing careers in sports management, marketing, or event operations who want to build their network and resume with a Triple-A baseball organization. You’ll gain mentorship from front office staff, exposure to multiple departments, and the opportunity to make a tangible impact on the fan experience in one of baseball’s most exciting markets.
