The Social Media Coordinator is primarily responsible for telling the story of the Oklahoma City Baseball Club brand through social media and written communication through a variety of channels, including emails, sales collateral, stakeholder communication, and more.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Operate all Oklahoma City Baseball Club social media channels while providing a best-in-class experience for our followers and fans.
  • Strive to reach key performance indicators related to growth and engagement of our social media audience and email marketing contacts, through daily, weekly, monthly and annual analytics research.
  • Manage calendar of upcoming campaigns as identified by internal priorities, partner input, and viewership trends.
  • Compile metrics, data and analysis related to various key events and initiate suggestions for optimization and coverage.
  • Work closely with members of the marketing department to cultivate a cohesive social media schedule that works well with other elements of the team's concurrent marketing plans.
  • Coordinate with other departments within the organization on their priorities and desired social media and email campaigns.

Ideal Qualifications:
  • Completed Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field. We are open to a candidate working toward a Bachelor's that can fulfill the time commitment of the role.
  • Experience in sports marketing or social media for a sports organization.
  • A strong understanding of all social media platforms and appropriate use in a sports business setting.
  • Ability to think and react quickly and appropriately to unpredictable situations.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively multi-task.
  • Capacity to think creatively and contribute new ideas.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office.
  • Outgoing and enthusiastic.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

This role will work 40 hours per week. This is an entry-level position compensated at an hourly rate. Hours will vary during the season, including more traditional office hours when the team is on the road and working games during OKC Baseball Club homestands.
