Title: Operations Manager – Oklahoma City Baseball Club

Job Description

The Oklahoma City Baseball Club is looking for a self-motivated and hard-working individual interested in maintaining Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, a first-class facility, through Operations. Under direction of the Vice President, Operations, the Operations Manager will manage the day-to-day operation of the facility such as gameday and special event setup, liaison with third-party janitorial companies along with directing in-house cleaning activities, and other responsibilities within the Operations Department. While this position manages the day-to-day aspects of Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, all staff members are expected to enhance the overall culture and success of the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Recruit, hire, train, and manage part-time (internships/hourly) operations staff, monitoring staff performance on a continual basis.

· Manage the setup of Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark on gamedays and all events.

· Daily on-site management of event staff with accountability and responsibility, establishing and promoting a positive, inclusive culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

· Manage relationship with third-party janitorial companies/vendors.

· Oversee quality control of cleaning and maintenance, including preventive maintenance duties and inspections of facility to ensure a superior fan experience and safety.

· Act as primary liaison for the Operations Department for outside event promoters and operators.

· Maintain a variety of reports/logs that pertain to the safe and efficient operation of Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

· Assist with the execution of team related activities, such as travel, equipment, player appearances, etc.

· Additional duties as assigned by the VP, Operations

Requirements:

· Must have 2-3 years of experience in the sports industry.

· Degree in sports management, business, or related field is preferred.

· Must have a professional demeanor and excellent verbal & written communication skills.

· Must be team oriented as well as able to work independently.

· Must be able to take constructive criticism and change direction to suit operational and team needs.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

· Ability to be able to lift up to 50 lbs. without restraint.

· Ability and willingness to work varied and long hours including nights and weekends.
