Position Overview
This is a seasonal is a part time seasonal gameday position with the Chihuahuas. You won't get any closer to the game than this, as you will be working directly for the Clubhouse Manager and be on the field during games.
Major responsibilities:
- Assist with the movement of equipment and materials around the field.
- Once the game begins, report to your assigned area and promptly retrieve foul balls, bats, etc. that you are responsible for during the game. Do not interrupt the flow of the game by doing such things, wait for the appropriate time to react.
- Put out all equipment as instructed for batting practice and games.
- Promptly put the batting cage away in the tunnel after the teams are finished using them before the game, usually around an hour and a half before game time.
- Upon the completion of the game, put all equipment away and check with your clubhouse supervisor for other duties as assigned.
- Wear proper uniform at all times and as instructed. (HELMET IS TO BE WORN AT ALL TIMES) .
- May be asked to assist in general cleaning of areas in the clubhouse
Qualifications:
- Must be a minimum of 16 years of age to be considered, and must be able to work our game schedule.
- Must complete a successful background check
Preferred qualifications:
- Baseball knowledge is a must
- Candidate must be agile, be able to run and walk quickly in extreme heat and or other weather conditions.
