Position Overview:
The Account Executive, Group & Hospitality Sales is responsible for generating new group ticket revenue and creating memorable group experiences for El Paso Chihuahuas fans, local community organizations, and regional businesses. This role focuses on prospecting, cultivating, and closing new business, renewing and expanding existing group accounts, and executing and servicing in game events through group seating and experiences, private hospitality events, and single game suites.
Essential Job Functions:
- Represent the organization with the utmost professionalism in the community
- Responsible for prospecting and selling Group Events for all games through outbound calls/contacts or appointments
- Responsible for renewing and finding new group clients between seasons
- Activate group theme sales plans that targets key market segments to boost attendance
- Create tailored experiences and packages for group leaders to drive engagement
- Proactively create opportunities for new business through upselling opportunities and referrals from existing clients
- Build client relationships through timely, strategic follow up and a focus on long-term retention and repeat business
- Maintain a database of contacts and sales progression using CRM
- Meet and/or exceed personal sales goals while providing the utmost customer service
- Embrace the team-first environment to achieve organizational sales goals and vision
- Attend networking and other community events outside of traditional business hours to promote the organization and build prospect pipeline
- Provide customer service to clients by visiting with them during games
- Make phone calls and other outbound contacts (emails, SMS) during the season and off-season to ensure personalized, continual contact with group leaders.
- Support department-wide initiatives that contribute to continuous improvement and innovation in group ticketing strategy
- Complete any customer service and operational duties as assigned
Experience:
- Must have previous sales experience in group sales or customer service.
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in sales or customer service, sales and customer service internships will count, with proven performance of success in sales, retention, and customer service.
