Position Summary:

We are seeking a Network Administrator responsible for the maintenance, monitoring, and optimization of the organization’s data, voice, and wireless networks. This role ensures secure, reliable, and efficient network operations across multiple locations. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in networking technologies and protocols and excels at troubleshooting and supporting complex enterprise network environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Primary duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
- Install, configure, and maintain networking hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and cabling.
- Monitor network performance to identify issues and optimize throughput, uptime, and security.
- Respond to and resolve network outages, degradation, or connectivity issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain and manage VPNs, LANs, WANs, and wireless networks across all organizational sites.
- Apply security best practices to protect data in transit and guard against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
- Coordinate with third-party ISPs, vendors, and partners for network services and support.
- Document network configurations, diagrams, procedures, and policies.
- Conduct routine testing and analysis to ensure disaster recovery and business continuity readiness.
- Assist in planning and implementing network infrastructure upgrades and expansions.
- Provide technical support for end users and assist with connectivity-related issues.
- Manage ticket queue and projects for on-time SLA.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to maintain a level of understanding of those areas to provide supplemental cross coverage on a regular daily basis.
- Provide IT Manager on Duty coverage, both on site and remote on call, on a rotating shared basis to cover defined hours of operation which will include events and games.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Networking, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience managing and troubleshooting enterprise-level networks.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols and concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, etc.).
- Experience with enterprise-grade routers, switches, and firewalls (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Ubiquiti).
- Proficient in network monitoring and diagnostic tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, PRTG).
- Familiarity with VPN technologies and remote access tools.
- Understanding of wireless networking standards and best practices (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax).
- Working knowledge of network security and perimeter defense systems.
- Must be able to lift 25 Lbs.
- Flexible schedule with some travel required.
Work Environment:
- This is an on-site role with requirements to be present during home games and other key events; the primary work location is Oriole Park at Camden Yards.
- Some lifting of IT equipment and hands-on troubleshooting in various ballpark locations is required.

The anticipated salary for this role is $90,000-$100,000 annually depending on experience, plus bonus opportunity.
