Serving as the primary relationship owner for assigned accounts, the Manager develops a deep understanding of each partner's business objectives and creates strategies that drive measurable value, strengthen relationships, maximize renewal rates, and generate incremental revenue growth.
This role extends well beyond asset fulfillment. Managers are expected to act as strategic business partners to their clients, proactively identifying opportunities, anticipating challenges, delivering measurable results, and positioning partnerships for long-term success. Success in this role requires strong business acumen, executive presence, accountability, and the ability to connect partner objectives to innovative solutions across the Orioles platform.
Managers are expected to operate with urgency, bring solutions rather than problems, and consistently raise the standard for partner experience, retention, and revenue growth.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Account Management & Strategic Partnership Leadership
- Own and strategically manage an assigned portfolio of corporate partnerships, maintaining full accountability for account health, partner satisfaction, revenue retention, and growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships across partner organizations, from day-to-day contacts to senior executives and key decision-makers.
- Develop annual account plans for assigned partners, outlining business objectives, activation priorities, measurement strategies, relationship maps, renewal timelines, and growth opportunities.
- Serve as a trusted advisor by providing strategic recommendations, industry insights, creative solutions, and data-driven perspectives that help partners achieve business objectives.
- Develop a deep understanding of each partner's goals, priorities, and KPIs, using performance reporting, proof of performance, and business reviews to demonstrate value and guide future strategy.
Renewals & Revenue Growth
- Lead the annual renewal process for assigned accounts, including renewal strategy development, business reviews, valuation discussions, recommendation creation, pricing strategy, contract extension planning, and negotiation support.
- Proactively identify account risks and develop strategies to improve partner retention and satisfaction.
- Identify and present upsell opportunities, new assets, platform integrations, and incremental revenue opportunities that align with partner objectives.
- Collaborate closely with Partnership Sales leadership to develop and execute renewal and growth strategies across the portfolio.
- Maintain ongoing renewal forecasting and communicate account status, risks, opportunities, and projected outcomes to department leadership.
Partnership Activation & Execution
- Oversee contractual fulfillment and lead the execution of partnership activations, hospitality programs, events, appearances, content production, community initiatives, and game-day experiences.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with Marketing, Ballpark Operations, Community Development, Ticketing, Broadcasting, Digital, and other departments to ensure successful execution of partnership obligations.
- Ensure all contractual assets are delivered accurately, on time, and at a best-in-class standard.
- Manage partner communications throughout the year to ensure expectations are exceeded and opportunities for added value are consistently pursued.
Leadership & Administration
- Maintain detailed records in Salesforce, including account activity, activation plans, renewal forecasting, and growth opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver business reviews, quarterly updates, recap presentations, and executive-level partner presentations.
- Mentor coordinators and junior staff while contributing to training, departmental planning, and best practice development.
- Represent the Baltimore Orioles at partner events, league functions, industry conferences, and networking opportunities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
