Gameday Event Staff
Overview:
The Gameday Event Staff employee is an outgoing, guest-friendly individual primarily responsible for ensuring that all guests of Oriole Park at Camden Yards have an enjoyable and safe experience. Your attention to detail and excellent people skills will allow us to bring excitement to all guests on gamedays. Gameday Event Staff assignments include: Usher, Gate Attendant, Kids Zone Attendant, Elevator Attendant, Escalator Attendant, Warehouse Lobby Attendant, Restricted Area Attendant and Guest Experience. 
 
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Usher 
  • Maintain a safe, orderly, and welcoming environment for all guests throughout the ballpark. 
  • Assist with wayfinding and seat locations. 
  • Monitor assigned sections for safety and compliance with ballpark policies. 
  • Offer responsive customer service when questions or issues arise. 
  • Manage crowd flow. 
  • Address guest concerns. 
  • Support emergency or evacuation procedures when needed.  
Gate Attendant 
  • Ensure a smooth, efficient, and secure entry experience for guests arriving at the ballpark. 
  • Scan tickets and verify entry credentials. 
  • Assist with bag and item screening in accordance with ballpark policies. 
  • Conduct security screenings in accordance with ballpark policies. 
Kids Zone Attendant 
  • Maintain a safe and fun experience for Birdland’s youngest guests. 
  • Oversee interactive activities within the Kids Zone. 
  • Maintain a clean and organized space. 
  • Ensure all Kids Zone policies and safety procedures are followed. 
Elevator Attendant 
  • Monitor elevator capacity. 
  • Assist passengers with floor selection. 
  • Verify credentials for security purposes when applicable 
Escalator Attendant 
  • Monitor guest traffic on escalators. 
  • Perform access control functions. 
  • Identify and respond to unsafe behavior. 
  • Manage crowd flow during peak ingress and egress times. 
  • Communicate any mechanical concerns to supervisors and help enforce ballpark safety policies. 
Warehouse Lobby Attendant 
  • Ensure a secure and welcoming environment for guests. 
  • Greet guests, scan tickets and verify credentials. 
  • Direct visitors to appropriate locations and enforce access-control policies.  
  • Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service by answering questions, assisting with wayfinding, and addressing any guest needs that arise. 
Restricted Area Attendant 
  • Utilize assigned technology to verify credentials and for access into restricted areas. 
  • Remain vigilant and notify leadership immediately when incidents or issues occur.  
 
Guest Experience Team Member
Overview:
Our Guest Experience team creates a memorable, engaging experience for every guest at our ballpark. You will act as a “ballpark host,” welcoming visitors to your “home”, being knowledgeable about the ballpark, its offerings, and our team to curate recommendations, and handling guest concerns with professionalism and good judgment. You will utilize your strong communication skills to collaborate with staff, partners, and management to provide service recovery and resolve issues efficiently. Our Guest Experience team also manages additional duties such as day-of-game lost and found, distributing celebratory items, and assisting guests that need wheelchair transportation to their seats. 
 
Essential Job Duties & Functions:
  • Project a friendly, approachable attitude and present a neat, well-groomed appearance.
  • Greet and warmly welcome all guests to ensure a positive first impression.
  • Facilitate all guest-related matters in a professional and courteous manner.Serve as an information specialist about the ballpark, team, and policies to appropriately respond to guest questions.Clearly, effectively, and professionally interact with staff, management, ballpark partners, and guests to collaboratively solve issues.
  • Exercise good judgement in utilizing service recovery methods independently.
  • Manage lost & found through use of ballpark technology program and reunite guests with their items when applicable. 
  • Distribute first game, birthday, and celebration buttons, as well as other items as deemed appropriate based on guest information. 

Basic Qualifications for All Event Staff Positions:  
  • Exhibit a friendly, non-confrontational and customer service focused mindset. 
  • Effectively communicate with other team members, leadership, partners, and guests. 
  • Follow written and verbal instructions. 
  • Actively listen and understand feedback, direction and inquiries. 
  • Ability to work in all types of weather, including heat, cold and rain. 
  • Patience and comfortability working in large crowds in a loud environment. 
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, including walking throughout the ballpark and climbing stairs. 
  • Ability to crouch and bend. 
  • Ability to react to various situations quickly. 
  • Ability to use technology applications for scheduling and job functions when necessary.  
  • Ability to maintain a neat and professional appearance while adhering to position ballpark uniform standards.  
 
Premium Club Event Staff
Overview:
At Oriole Park at Camden Yards, it is our goal to offer the highest level of hospitality and service to our Premium Club guests. The Premium Club event staff role plays a vital role in delivering exceptional guest experience in our Premium Club areas. With a strong focus on hospitality, attention to detail, and teamwork, the Premium Club attendant ensure that areas are well maintained and that guests receive courteous, personalized service. This position is ideal for any individual with a friendly, outgoing personality with experience providing personalized, high-quality service. Your attention to detail and excellent people skills will allow us to bring excitement and happiness to all guests on gamedays or other sponsored Orioles events.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Warmly greet all guests that enter through our Premium Club
  • Anticipate guest needs and provide a personalized level of service while maintaining high levels of guest engagement to assist with guest needs
  • Respond to guest inquiries, suggestions and complaints during an event
  • Work closely with all ballpark partners and Orioles leadership when needed to assist with service recovery other event issues
  • Light housekeeping responsibilities, such as ensuring seats are dry, collecting trash, etc.
  • Monitor and enforce access to Premium Club location.
  • Maintain high ethical standards and professionalism.

 Preferred Qualifications for Premium Club Event Staff:
  • At least three (3) years of experience working in customer service focused role, preferably in the hospitality or restaurant industry.
  • Interest in baseball, the Baltimore Orioles, and Major League Baseball.

Basic Qualifications for Premium Club Event Staff:
  • Passion for serving others and providing an elevated personal experience.
  • Natural ability to communicate comfortably and professionally with others.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to maintain a calm, professional attitude when working with guests.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks when necessary.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, including walking or climbing stairs.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Ability to work outdoors in variable temperatures, including extremely hot and cold weather.
  • Ability to maintain a neat and professional appearance while adhering to position based uniform standards.

Availability For All Listed Positions:
  • All Event Staff positions require flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as reflected by the Orioles 2026 home game schedule. 
  • Team Members must be available for approximately 2/3 (9 games a month) of home games for the Orioles 2026 schedule.
  • Gameday Event Staff and Guest Experience must be available to arrive up to 30 minutes prior to gates opening and stay up to 30 minutes post-game. Premium Staff Must be available to arrive up to 3 hours before first pitch and stay up to 30 minutes post-game.
  • Required to complete paid training prior to being approved to work game/event shifts.
