JOB TITLE: FCL Strength & Conditioning Coach
DEPARTMENT: Player Development – Strength & Conditioning

LOCATION: Sarasota, Florida (Florida Complex)
JOB SUMMARY: The Baltimore Orioles are seeking a full-time FCL Strength & Conditioning Coach. This coach will be responsible for the implementation and supervision of the Baltimore Orioles strength and conditioning program at the Florida Complex, with a focus on player development, athlete monitoring, and collaborative performance integration.
REPORTS TO: Assistant Minor League Strength & Conditioning Coordinator and Director of Minor League Strength & Conditioning
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary duties to include, but not limited to the following:
- Oversee daily implementation of the Orioles’ strength and conditioning program for players assigned to the Florida Complex.
- Supervise and instruct all resistance training, speed, recovery and conditioning programs
- Collaborate with Sport Science, Medical, Biomechanics, Nutrition, and Mental Skills staff to deliver an integrated performance model.
- Work with hitting and pitching coaches to help achieve the physical demands of on-field goals.
- Conduct and report regular movement, power, and speed testing using organizational technologies (force plates, VBT, GPS, etc.).
- Manage athlete data collection and reporting within athlete management systems.
- Use available data to guide training, recovery and collaboration to develop an effective player plan and program.
- Assist with pre-season and post-season camps, extended spring training, and player rehab programs.
- Hold players accountable to quality training and routine standards
- Assist Nutrition dept in conducting meal reviews and ensuring proper nutrition practices.
- Lead assistant and seasonal coaches in all aspects of planning and executing the program.
- Maintain facility operations, including equipment upkeep and daily readiness.
- Demonstrate professionalism, communication, and leadership within a multi-disciplinary environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field.
- Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
- CPR/First Aid certified.
- Experience with strength and conditioning, athlete testing, or applied sport science.
Desired:
- Previous baseball or sport science experience (professional or collegiate).
- Bilingual (Spanish/English).
- Experience with VALD or similar sport science platforms.
- Strong communication, adaptability, and organizational skills.
