Position Overview
The Baseball Operations Administration Assistant will support daily administrative and logistical
functions for the organization’s Spring Training operations at the Baseball Operations Center and Buck O’Neil Baseball Complex. This role provides hands-on experience working in a professional baseball environment while assisting with player services, facility coordination, and day-to-day operational tasks. Ideal candidates are organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative Support
  • Provide administrative assistance to Baseball Operations staff and players.
  • Assist with player parking lot coordination, including monitoring access, directing traffic flow, and ensuring compliance with facility procedures.
  • Support daily check-in/check-out processes for players, coaches, and staff.
  • Manage mail and package services, including sorting, distributing, logging deliveries, and coordinating outgoing shipments.
  • Assist with preparation of player binders, schedules, rosters, and other Spring Training documentation.
  • Maintain organized records, files, and databases for Baseball Operations.

Facility & Operations Assistance
  • Help ensure common areas, workspaces, and administrative offices remain organized and fully stocked.
  • Support staff with setup, breakdown, and logistical needs for meetings, workouts, and team events.
  • Assist with credentialing, access lists, and communication between departments as needed.
  • Provide professional customer service to players, staff, visiting personnel, and vendors.
  • Uphold confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive team, player, or organizational information.
  • Perform additional baseball operations–related tasks as assigned.

General Duties

Qualifications

  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Sports Management, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable working outdoors and performing physical tasks as necessary.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays during Spring Training.
