Position Overview:
The Baltimore Orioles are seeking dependable and enthusiastic individuals to join the Ball Staff for the 2026 season. Ball Staff members play a key on-field role during all home games, serving as the first and third base ball boys/girls while assisting with pregame ceremonies and select in-game activations. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the pace and professionalism of Major League Baseball games while representing the Orioles organization on the field.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as an ambassador to the Orioles organization.
- Field foul ground balls promptly and efficiently during live play, ensuring the safety of players, umpires, and fans.
- Distribute baseballs to umpires and fans in accordance with team and league procedures.
- Assist the Game Presentation and Field Production teams with pregame ceremonies and on-field activations (e.g., game ball delivery, first pitches, special recognitions).
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while representing the Baltimore Orioles in front of large crowds.
- Ensure all duties are performed safely, smoothly, and in coordination with game operations staff.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong knowledge of baseball rules, field layout, and fair/foul ball awareness.
- Experience playing organized baseball or softball (high school, collegiate, or equivalent level preferred).
- Excellent focus and situational awareness during live play.
- Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a team-first mentality.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays throughout the 2026 season.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and remaining on your feet for extended periods.
General Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be available to work the majority of Orioles home games (including nights, weekends, and holidays).
- High School Diploma required.
- Passion for baseball, live entertainment, and creating memorable fan experiences.

The hourly rate for this role is $16.00/hour.
