Job Title: Amateur Scouting Fellow – Domestic Scouting 
Reports to: Assistant Director, Draft Operations
Location: Baltimore, MD
Compensation: Part-Time, Hourly

Role Overview:
This position will assist in all administrative functions pertaining to the First Year Player Draft including day-to-day front office operations, medical collection/review, draft research, and player evaluation. This is a part-time, seasonal position that is based out of Baltimore, MD.

Key Responsibilities:
  • General administrative and logistical support for Domestic Scouting Department
  • Collaborate with front office, scouts, and other departments during pre-draft process
  • Troubleshoot technical and equipment issues and provide assistance to scouts
  • Operate various technologies to collect performance data on players at club workouts
  • Edit and upload video to share as deemed necessary
  • Hone player evaluation skills through in-person looks, video, statistics, and other relevant sources of information
  • Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:
  • General knowledge of baseball and amateur scouting landscape
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with staff members of diverse backgrounds
  • Must possess intellectual curiosity, an open mind, and desire to learn
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, SQL preferred
  • Ability to work long hours; evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel as needed
