The Account Executive role reports to the Sales Manager; Sponsorship and Ticketing and is responsible for developing inside and outside ticket sales, sponsorship prospects and managing all aspects of the group plan and single game ticket fulfillment process. Duties will include managing current single game, plan and group ticket sales and sponsorship clients, as well as engaging new clients to generate new business in coordination with organizational revenue objectives.
Essential duties and responsibilities of this job classification:
- Understand and effectively meet or exceed individual and team ticket plan and group ticket sales goals as defined by Sales Manager; Sponsorship and Ticketing by intentionally pursuing new and returning customers, making sound sales decisions, and developing long-term client relationships.
- Develop new plan and group ticket sales customers and maintain positive relationships with current ticket holders including answering questions, recommending event details, taking and following through on orders, delivering tickets, and arranging for invoicing. § Promote and recommend for purchase all types of inventory to clients, specifically relating to sale of new items. As necessary identify and prospect sponsorship leads.
- Become proficient in the ticket plan and group sales database programs.
- Share leads with appropriate staff to increase sales volume and grow sales representative’s customer base. § Develop and enhance positive client relationships with a high level of customer service throughout the sales cycle and by taking full advantage of other relationship building or entertainment opportunities.

- Effectively monitor client's satisfaction with programming, and follow up to cover all the details including ticket delivery, verbal follow up, etc.
- Maintain files and distribute all paperwork to staff involved. Follow up on all files regarding after the sales issues (other tickets, food and beverage options, special considerations or requests).
- Write effective sales proposals by demonstrating excellent judgment when setting pricing, inventory, and value-added perks.
- Take ownership of ticket related initiatives; Reading program, Fundraising, etc.
- Incorporate departmental training programs into work practices.
- Seek out and attend networking event opportunities to promote the Pit Spitters product while creating lead generation. Master the ticketing system, including, but not limited to, building season ticket accounts, creating holds for group sales reservations, production and distribution of all undated ticket vouchers daily ticket sales.
- Effectively communicate with other departments in order to provide a quality experience for ticket clients, sponsors and fans.
- Provide excellent customer service and in-depth knowledge of Northwoods League Ticketing System while recommending and selling ticket inventory in box office during event walk-up.
- Oversee hospitality areas during events including: creating signage, meeting with clients, finalizing food and beverage tab, and ensuring satisfactory experience for hospitality clients.
- Assist Operations Department with parking, ushering whenever necessary.
- Meet with sales clients during events to ensure group and/or client outing is satisfactory and to troubleshoot any potential issues.
- Attend weekly ticket sales staff meeting.
- Attend all pre-event update meetings as scheduled
- Understand and effectively meet or exceed individual and team ticket plan and group ticket sales goals as defined by Sales Manager; Sponsorship and Ticketing
- Game day and facility events activity is required resulting in night or weekend hours. § Other duties as assigned.
Special skills/abilities/competencies required: Strong internal and external customer service skills. Excellent communication skills. Presentation skills, ability to simplify complex problems and develop creative solutions. Time management skills are a priority. Self-motivated and goal oriented.
Education level: High school diploma required. Associates, bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
