The Rockford Rivets are seeking a qualified individual to join the team as a Photography Intern for the 2024 season. This position is an internship providing hands-on experience in collegiate sports. The Photography intern will work closely with the social media and broadcasting intern teams and should be available for all home games, along with any additional events assigned throughout the season. The photography interns will report directly to the Director of Marketing and Social Media. This summer internship program runs from mid-May to late August. All interns must be available for each home game (36) and occasional off-days, along with any additional events assigned throughout the season.
Responsibilities Include:
- Formal training in photography and storytelling
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud software
- Lighting knowledge
- Possess great creativity, problem solving skills and excellent time management
- Ability to oversee multiple projects from start to finish and meet deadlines
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Pursuing or have a degree in film, video production, media, marketing, journalism, communications, or related fields
- Requires ability to work flexible schedule including nights and weekends
- Comfortable with working with Adobe Suites
- Experience producing short and long form videos
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive, team-first attitude and willingness to collaborate in a creative environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with an attention to detail
- Must bring own camera equipment
- Some baseball experience is preferred, but not required.
