The Rockford Rivets are actively seeking qualified individuals to join our team as Ticket Interns for the off-season at Rivets Stadium. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing the box office, and contributing to the overall fan experience. Ticket Interns are integral to ensuring an exceptional Rockford Rivets experience. This spring internship program runs from November-May with the potential of transitioning your internship to a full- season internship. Ticket interns will report directly to the Director of Ticket Sales.
It is our goal to provide you with hands-on experience and knowledge useful in competing for jobs in the baseball industry. We will also work with you to fulfill requirements for college credit if necessary. Qualifications are based on ability, desire, work ethic and a commitment to make the most of the experience. Rockford Rivets Spring interns receive a stipend based on their availability during the length of the internship.
Ticket Sales Intern (November-May); $TBD (based on availability)
- Handle incoming ticket calls, provide customer service to current and potential ticket package holders
- Help manage ticket information in the ticketing system, assist with data entry, and keep records current and accurate using the CRM Software
- Understand and effectively meet or exceed individual and team ticket goals by prospecting for new inside/outside sales accounts through cold calls and telemarketing
- Attend organization appearances in the community
- Assist other departments when requested and/or needed
- Potential to extend internship through the summer season
Required Skills:
- Must be a current college student (undergraduate or graduate).
- Enthusiastic and positive attitude with a strong commitment to success.
- Creative thinking skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to take direction to complete assigned tasks.
- Comfortable with cold calling
- Strong time management and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to delegate to customers.
- Knowledge or experience in ticketing is preferred, but not required
