The Madison Mallards and Madison Night Mares are seeking a qualified individual to seasonally assist in projects throughout the ballpark. The Operations Assistant will perform pre-season and day-of-game tasks to set up the ballpark. As well as assist with daily baseball field preparation & maintenance, clubhouse management, and kids zone management, under the supervision of the Director of Operations.
Employment Period: March 16, 2026 - October 2, 2026
**Some Evenings and Weekends Required**
Duties Include:
- Assist in pre-season preparation of the stadium, playing field, and kids zone area, before and after High School baseball/softball games, youth tournaments, and other special events held at the Duck Pond
- Lead/assist with other tasks such as painting, hanging signs, landscaping and many other outdoor tasks
- Assist in pre-season and post-season setup and winterization of the ballpark
- Ensuring that all aspects of stadium operations are completed in a timely manner
- Assist in the part time staff oversight by doing interviews, sending offer letters and helping with scheduling for game days and special events.
- Support operations-related part-time and intern staff
Required Skills:
- Being capable of taking direction in completing assigned tasks under the Director of Operations
- Knowledge of baseball field preparation is preferred
- Experience working with power tools
- Ability to think on one's feet and problem solve
- Excellent communication skills
- Hard working individuals who can adapt to different situations
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs
- Adapting to last-minute changes with a positive attitude
- Willingness to work outdoors, rain or shine
