The Madison Mallards and Madison Night Mares are seeking a qualified individual to seasonally assist in projects throughout the ballpark. The Operations Assistant will perform pre-season and day-of-game tasks to set up the ballpark. As well as assist with daily baseball field preparation & maintenance, clubhouse management, and kids zone management, under the supervision of the Director of Operations.

Employment Period: March 16, 2026 - October 2, 2026

**Some Evenings and Weekends Required**

  Duties Include:
  • Assist in pre-season preparation of the stadium, playing field, and kids zone area, before and after High School baseball/softball games, youth tournaments, and other special events held at the Duck Pond
  • Lead/assist with other tasks such as painting, hanging signs, landscaping and many other outdoor tasks
  • Assist in pre-season and post-season setup and winterization of the ballpark
  • Ensuring that all aspects of stadium operations are completed in a timely manner
  • Assist in the part time staff oversight by doing interviews, sending offer letters and helping with scheduling for game days and special events.
  • Support operations-related part-time and intern staff

Required Skills:
  • Being capable of taking direction in completing assigned tasks under the Director of Operations
  • Knowledge of baseball field preparation is preferred
  • Experience working with power tools
  • Ability to think on one's feet and problem solve
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Hard working individuals who can adapt to different situations
  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs
  • Adapting to last-minute changes with a positive attitude
  • Willingness to work outdoors, rain or shine
