The Lakeshore Chinooks are seeking dedicated and energetic interns to join our Non-Gameday Field Operations Team for the spring and summer seasons. This internship is an excellent opportunity for individuals who love baseball and want hands-on experience in sports operations, field management, and event coordination.
Interns will play a key role in helping manage baseball events at Kapco Park and other area baseball/softball fields, serving as Site Directors for Tournament games and assisting with field preparation and maintenance for Lakeshore Chinooks non-gameday activities, as well as Jr. Chinooks and Milwaukee Baseball Academy games. When the Chinooks are not playing at home, you’ll help ensure that the field and facilities are maintained to professional standards for all hosted events.
Responsibilities
- Perform field preparation and maintenance before, between, and after games.
- Communicate effectively with coaches, umpires, and event staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Serve as on-site Site Director for Tournament games at Kapco Park.
- Assist with Jr. Chinooks and Milwaukee Baseball Academy field setup and upkeep.
- Represent the Lakeshore Chinooks with professionalism and a positive attitude.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of baseball rules and game flow (high school playing experience preferred).
- Reliable, punctual, and organized, with strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to perform light physical tasks such as raking, dragging, and setting up field equipment.
- Comfortable working outdoors for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Must have weekday and weekend availability.
- Must have reliable form of transportation to get to and from area fields.
