Intern Play by Play Announcer
The Kenosha Kingfish are searching for an individual to serve as webcast play by play announcer for all 36 Kingfish regular season and all possible playoff home games. Kingfish games are broadcast online through northwoodsleague.tv and through a livestream at kingfishbaseball.com. The play by play announcer WILL NOT travel with the team on the road.
Responsibilities Include:
- Play by play and color announcing for all 36 Kingfish regular season home games and playoff games if necessary.
- Write all 72 post-game recaps on all road games to be sent to the media.
- Write content in the official Kingfish program The Daily Catch as needed.
- Conduct recorded interviews with players and coaches for use during broadcasts.
- Conduct on air interviews with players, coaches, sponsors, community members, league representatives or dignitaries.
- Ability to work non-traditional and long hours including evenings and weekends.
- Work with the webcast producer for the pre-game show, post-game show and game broadcast.
- Assist front office with information on the team as necessary.
- Regularly communicate information between front office and coaches/team and vice versa.
- Assist with press box and ball park set up prior to start of regular season.
- After the season is over inventory all equipment and help in winterization of the press box.
Required Skills:
- Previous game announcing experience preferred.
- Radio production experience preferred.
- Mastery in the understanding of and ability to describe the game of baseball.
- Excellent writing skills.

All interns must receive college credit for this internship OR this internship must qualify for a graduation requirement. Interns will receive a housing & travel stipend for this internship.
