Food and Beverage Management Internship
The Kenosha Kingfish are searching for Full-time Food and Beverage Management Interns. The Full-time Food and Beverage Management interns will work directly under the close supervision of the Director of Food and Beverage. This position helps ensure exceptional food and beverage quality at the concession stands under their management during Kingfish home games. Other duties include assisting in all aspects of ballpark operations. Additionally, this position will have the opportunity to help the Kingfish sales staff and gain experience in the Kingfish sales department through an optional sales program.
Responsibilities Include:
- Reporting directly to the Director of Food and Beverage
- Ensuring quality and consistency of all food and beverage offerings
- Overseeing food preparation, storage, and service areas
- Maintaining accurate inventory (for products and par lists for production), temperature, and waste log
- Management of all food and beverage staff, including scheduling, training, delegating responsibilities, employee evaluations, team motivation, and developing a fun and productive atmosphere
- Awareness of, and adherence to, Fire, Health, and Safety procedures, regulations, and codes.
- Oversight of nightly cleaning of all concessions areas
- Organization of all concessions areas and products at all stages of productions; from receiving goods to serving fans.
- Provide direct “hands-on” cooking or prep work if necessary to deliver quality and prompt service
- Assisting or helping to ensure that all aspects of stadium operations are completed in a timely manner
- Assisting or helping in management and staffing of game day employees
- Assisting in preparing the ballpark for opening day
- Ensuring an exceptional fan experience through great customer service
- Performing other duties as assigned by Kingfish management
- Ability to work non-traditional and long hours including evenings and weekends
Required Skills:
- Can take direction in completing assigned tasks under direct supervision
- Some knowledge or experience working with tools
- Ability to think on one's feet and problem solve on the fly
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
All interns must receive college credit for this internship OR this internship must qualify for a graduation requirement. All Interns will receive a housing & travel stipend for this internship.
