About the Organization:
The Eau Claire Express begin their 21st year in the summer collegiate Northwoods League. The Northwoods League comprises of teams of the top college players from across North America. Each team is operated similarly to a professional minor league team, providing development opportunities to players, front office staff members, interns, and coaches. The Express are operated similarly to other Northwoods League teams in that their players use wooden bats, experience long road trips and overnight stays, and play nightly in front of thousands of fans. The Eau Claire Express plays at Carson Park, located in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

The duties of the Equipment Manager intern may include any or all of the following:
  • Team Equipment & Uniforms
    • Manage and distribute team equipment inventory (balls, bats, helmets, etc.)
    • Ensure all necessary equipment is stocked and ready for games
    • Provide equipment and uniform support to the coaching staff as needed
    • Oversee upkeep of team uniforms, including washing and drying both home and visiting teams' uniforms after games
  • Clubhouse & Gameday Preparation
    • Maintain and organize the clubhouse throughout the season
    • Stock dugouts with water jugs, cups, and other supplies prior to each game
    • Assist with the setup and breakdown of team gear before and after games
    • Ensure warm-up areas and dugouts are prepared and maintained
  • Operations
    • Assist with ballpark operations, including field work, dugout upkeep, and other assigned tasks
    • Assist stadium operations interns to ensure game day readiness
    • Contribute to maintaining a clean, professional, and player-friendly environment at Carson Park
  • Other duties as assigned
    • Assist the Express front office with ticket sales efforts
    • Provide general office and administrative support as needed
    • Assist with everyday office duties and other duties as assigned
Required skills and qualifications:
  • Pursuing a degree in sports management, recreation management, or any other related field
  • Ability to take direction and successfully complete assigned tasks.
  • Self-motivation, strong organizational skills, and GREAT attention to detail.
  • Capability to make decisions and problem-solve in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong multitasking abilities.
  •  Excellent communication skills.
