About the Organization:
The Eau Claire Express begin their 21st year in the summer collegiate Northwoods League. The Northwoods League comprises of teams of the top college players from across North America. Each team is operated similarly to a professional minor league team, providing development opportunities to players, front office staff members, interns, and coaches. The Express are operated similarly to other Northwoods League teams in that their players use wooden bats, experience long road trips and overnight stays, and play nightly in front of thousands of fans. The Eau Claire Express plays at Carson Park, located in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

The duties of the Ticket Sales intern include any or all of the following:
  • Assist in directing box office sales at the downtown office and at Carson Park
    • Oversee will-call tickets
    • Process call-ins and walk-in ticket orders
    • Staff ticket window on each game night
  • Coordinate and execute group ticket/corporate outings
    • Work with marketing interns to organize all birthday outings
    • Follow up with groups coming to Carson Park to get final ticket counts and food/beverage choices
    • Exhibit strong customer service
  • Track tasks and orders in the ticket/CRM system
    • Maintain a detailed list of follow-up calls
    • Data entry of information collected at games
    • Follow up with every group outing leader
  • Soft sales phone call
    • Make customer service phone calls to individual ticket buyers
  • Create new promotions and theme night ideas to promote ticket sales
    • Work with marketing interns to create ticket packages around theme nights
    • Create promo codes in the ticket system
  • Assist in overseeing season ticket, sponsor, host family, and 5-game package requests
    • Be the main contact for special requests
  • Assist in printing and distributing tickets prior to the season
  • Assist with player and mascot appearances if necessary
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Pursuing a degree in Communications, Sports Management, Business, Marketing
  • Ability to work well under pressure 
  • Great customer service skills 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Strong computer skills
  • Organized, motivated, and able to work independently
