About the Organization:
The Eau Claire Express begins its 21st year in the summer collegiate Northwoods League. The Northwoods League comprises teams of the top college players from across North America. Each team is operated similarly to a professional minor league team, providing development opportunities to players, front office staff members, interns, and coaches. In addition, the Express operates similarly to other Northwoods League teams, as their players use wooden bats, experience long road trips and overnight stays, and play nightly in front of thousands of fans. The Eau Claire Express plays at Carson Park, located in Eau Claire, Wisconsin
The duties of the Graphic Design & Photography intern include any or all of the following:
- Photography
- Document the season at Carson Park through high-quality photography
- Capture player action shots, headshots, and team photos
- Photograph stadium areas, including the Fan Deck, Grandstand, and General Admission
- Highlight fan interactions, staff, mascots, host families, and special events
- Cover game day sponsorships, National Anthem performances, and other in-game features
- Organize and maintain all photos in designated folders on an external hard drive for future use
- Proof of Performance
- Provide photographic proof of all group outings and experiences
- Capture sponsorship-related content, including signage, promotional games, and on-field recognitions
- Document first pitches, between-inning promotions, and other sponsor activations
- Graphic Design
- Design engaging game day graphics for in-stadium and digital use
- Create marketing materials such as posters, flyers, etc.
- Assist with the design of the team's game day program and other publications
- Support the marketing team with additional graphics projects as assigned
- Digital Content & Social Media
- Assist in growing Express social media accounts through creative content
- Brainstorm and develop new ideas that can be utilized year-round
- Post gameday and post-game graphics in collaboration with the marketing team
- Run Instagram stories during each game
- Other duties
- Help with stadium setup and takedown for all home games
- Assist the Express front office with ticket sales efforts
- Provide general office and administrative support as needed
- Assist with everyday office duties and other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Preferably pursuing a degree in photography, graphic design, or digital marketing
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Developed interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Self-motivated individual with the ability to multitask
- Experience in Adobe Creative Suite
