Duluth Huskies Internships are designed for college students (priority to juniors and seniors) seeking real world experience, and are set to challenge, prepare you for the demands of the fast-paced, professional sports and entertainment industry, and set you apart in any career path you pursue.
Our Internships are a hands-on, all-encompassing experience that goes far beyond the classroom—giving candidates the chance to build meaningful skills, learn both the creative planning and business sides of sports, and play an important role in creating unforgettable fan experiences.
Candidates MUST be ready to commit to long hours at the ballpark during the entire summer, especially when the team is at home (60-80 hours/week during homestands). Applicants should not have another job and as a result will walk away with invaluable experience, a professional network, and a summer you will never forget.

Position Overview:
The Duluth Huskies Baseball Club, a proud member of the Northwoods League, is seeking a Marketing & Promotions Intern for the 2026 season. This position plays a vital role in creating a fun, engaging, and memorable game-day experience for fans while supporting sponsors, community partners, and the front office. The intern will work closely with other marketing interns to ensure all aspects of promotions, social media, and PA announcements are executed seamlessly throughout the season.
Key Responsibilities:
Sponsorship & Promotions Support
- Assist with in-game execution of on-field promotions, giveaways, and pre-game events.
- Organize all promotional materials, props, and prizes for in-between-inning games and fan contests.
- Coordinate contestants and participants for pre-game events such as First Pitch, National Anthem singers, and Baseball Buddies.
- Communicate with the PA announcer and Front Office regarding last-minute changes to promotions.
Fan Engagement & Game-Day Experience
- Lead or assist with in-game promotions and fan engagement activities to ensure a memorable experience for attendees.
- Interact with fans throughout the game and capture the excitement for social media content.
- Assist with pre-game setup of promotional areas and post-game cleanup, including maintaining stands, restrooms, and other shared spaces.
- Support special events, theme nights, and on-field entertainment as directed.
PA Script & Communication
- Update and maintain the PA script for each home game.
- Coordinate with Sponsors and the PA announcer to include sponsorship reads, foul ball announcements, and promotions.
- Promote upcoming games through the PA script and communicate any last-minute changes effectively.
Social Media & Digital Content
- Collaborate with others from the Marketing team to develop content for social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok).
- Post live updates during games, including scores, photos, and videos of fans, groups, and on-field events.
- Contribute to the production of commercials and video content for the webcast and social media as needed.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist with stadium setup and teardown, supporting the Front Office as needed.
- Participate in other tasks or projects assigned by the Front Office to support overall operations and marketing initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Sports Management, or equivalent.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with social media platforms such as Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and collaborate as part of a team.
- Must have a team-player mentality with a willingness to assist with various tasks across the ballpark.
- Must be available for ALL Duluth Huskies home games.
