Job Title: Camera Director Intern

End Date: Mid-August 2026
Compensation: College-credit-based program and biweekly compensation 

Duluth Huskies Internships:
Duluth Huskies Internships are designed for college students (priority to juniors and seniors) seeking real world experience, and are set to challenge, prepare you for the demands of the fast-paced, professional sports and entertainment industry, and set you apart in any career path you pursue. 

Our Internships are a hands-on, all-encompassing experience that goes far beyond the classroom—giving candidates the chance to build meaningful skills, learn both the creative planning and business sides of sports, and play an important role in creating unforgettable fan experiences. 

Candidates MUST be ready to commit to long hours at the ballpark during the entire summer, especially when the team is at home (60-80 hours/week during homestands). Applicants should not have another job and as a result, will walk away with invaluable experience, a professional network, and a summer you will never forget.

Please be aware that you will be expected to learn and help out in ALL departments no matter what position you are hired for. After all, the best, most successful Huskies Interns jump in wherever needed, bring great energy, and make every day at the ballpark better!

Key Responsibilities:
Preseason: 
  • Complete league mandated testing which provides the knowledge and ensures the understanding of proper use of equipment, specific shots and framing for game use. 
  • Hands-on training to practice correct setup/teardown, usage, and storage of equipment, and needed shots for filming games. 

In Season:
Pregame: 
  • Co-produce pregame show. Responsible for proper equipment set up. 
  • Participate in pregame meetings to discuss potential improvements from previous games.
  • Conduct a communications check with all camera operators to ensure cameras are all functioning properly, a communications check with broadcasters to ensure sound is balanced and for any specific talking points they may have for the pregame show, and a communications check with the graphics director about any shots to get with corresponding graphics. 

Game time: 
  • Direct camera operators to the best of your ability.
  • Actively listen to broadcast announcers in order to direct camera operators where to shoot. 
  • Actively watch and listen to game play surroundings to anticipate the shots needed to direct operators where to shoot. 
  • Co-produce game, working directly with the graphics director to ensure timing of shots and graphics is accurate. 
  • Co-produce postgame show. Help troubleshoot equipment if malfunctions manifest during the game. 

Post game: 
  • Correctly shut down equipment and ensure that it is ready for the next person to use it. 
  • Participate in postgame meetings to discuss ideas and potential improvements for future games.
  • Assist with stadium setup before games and post-game cleanup, including maintaining the stands, restrooms, and other shared spaces.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Front Office Staff

Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled or recently graduated from a college or university 
  • Actively pursuing a degree or career in video production, communications or related field
  • Experience in video editing, live media graphic creation required 
  • Some experience in live production preferred
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively.
  • Organized with a keen eye for detail 
  • Basic knowledge of baseball preferred
  • Must be available for ALL 36 Duluth Huskies home games and potential playoff games.
  • Team-player mentality and willingness to help out with various tasks across the ballpark.
