Duluth Huskies Internships are designed for college students (priority to juniors and seniors) seeking real world experience, and are set to challenge, prepare you for the demands of the fast-paced, professional sports and entertainment industry, and set you apart in any career path you pursue.
Our Internships are a hands-on, all-encompassing experience that goes far beyond the classroom—giving candidates the chance to build meaningful skills, learn both the creative planning and business sides of sports, and play an important role in creating unforgettable fan experiences.
Candidates MUST be ready to commit to long hours at the ballpark during the entire summer, especially when the team is at home (60-80 hours/week during homestands). Applicants should not have another job and as a result, will walk away with invaluable experience, a professional network, and a summer you will never forget.
Please be aware that you will be expected to learn and help out in ALL departments no matter what position you are hired for. After all, the best, most successful Huskies Interns jump in wherever needed, bring great energy, and make every day at the ballpark better!

Position Overview:
The Duluth Huskies are seeking energetic, detail-oriented individuals to join our summer operations team! Ballpark Operations Interns are the backbone of game day execution—ensuring the stadium is ready, clean, organized, and running smoothly for fans, players, and staff alike. From setup and teardown to concessions, inventory, and special events, this hands-on internship offers a front-row seat to the fast-paced world of sports and event management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute all setup and teardown for games and events, including tables, tents, signage, seating, and fan areas such as the Kennel Klub and picnic sections.
- Maintain stadium cleanliness and presentation before, during, and after each event (bathrooms, stands, concourse, seating areas, etc.).
- Ensure all areas are organized and fully stocked before gates open; coordinate with other interns to confirm readiness.
- Maintain communication with the Assistant General Manager and other department leads throughout each event.
- Share important information and details upon umpire arrival.
- Work closely with the Concessions Lead to ensure all areas are stocked, systems are set, daily specials are updated, etc.
- Place all money bags in their appropriate location before and after each game
- Assist in bringing food/drink to the Kennel Klub and help keep areas stocked throughout the game.
- Assist in preparing food as directed by AGM
Customer & Partner Experience:
- Confirm details ahead of time, welcome and coordinate Celebrity Bartender groups, providing pre-event communication, training, and oversight.
- Maintain awareness of each days promotions, groups, themes, game day schedule, etc.
- Help ensure all fan-facing areas (concessions, apparel, ticket office, etc.) are professional and welcoming.
- Confirm post-game meal details with partners, distribute meals, and lead team cleanup efforts.
Inventory & Deliveries:
- Coordinate and assist with deliveries- stock, organize and inventory management using the FIFO method.
- Track and restock supplies, reporting shortages to the Assistant GM.
- Recognize and retrieve supplies not delivered directly to the stadium or may have been overlooked.
Fan Engagement & Sales Support:
- Assist the Ticket Manager with walk-up and phone ticket sales.
- Assist Marketing Interns with the set up and tear down for themed games, promotions, and giveaways.
- Check in with other interns to ensure ALL responsibilities are completed and no further help is needed, prior to doors opening.
- Operate and maintain the team merchandise area, ensuring an organized, welcoming and easy fan shopping experience.
- Keep inventory of all apparel and souvenir items. Projecting and informing AGM what items/sizes may need to be re-ordered, prior to being completely out
Post-Game & Daily Wrap-Up:
- Oversee thorough cleanup of concession, seating, and fan areas.
- Assist with general post game, cleanup, including sweeping stands, cleaning, bathrooms, thoroughly wash, all concession dishes, etc.
- Ensure all trash is taken out to the dumpster before during an after game/event
- Ensure all lights, gates, and facilities are properly closed and locked at day’s end.
Throughout the Season
- Help generate and contribute ideas for promotions, events, and in-game enhancements that elevate the fan experience.
- Distribute pocket schedules and corporate season tickets to businesses around the local Duluth area and surrounding communities
- Complete any and all other duties assigned to you to the best of your ability

- Positive attitude and strong effort to succeed.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized
- Commitment to working extended hours (40-80 hours/week during homestands), including nights, weekends and non-game days.
- Strong communication skills and eagerness to learn.
- Ability to succeed in a team environment.
- Some heavy lifting may apply.
