Job Summary
The Scoreboard Operator is responsible for the real-time, accurate, and seamless operation of the stadium's video board and scoreboard system during all home games and events. This role is crucial for delivering engaging in-game entertainment, displaying official scores and statistics, and ensuring the correct execution of sponsor-required video and graphic elements.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Operate the stadium's video board and scoreboard system accurately and seamlessly in real-time during all home games and events.
- Ensure correct display of official scores, statistics, and game clock.
- Execute pre-produced video content, graphics, and sponsor advertisements according to the game script.
- Perform pre-game system checks and troubleshoot basic technical issues with A/V equipment.
- Coordinate closely with the Game Director and PA Announcer to maintain the flow of in-game entertainment.
- Other Duties as Assigned: Contribute to the overall success of the organization in any capacity needed.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Proficiency with computerized sports scoreboard and video control systems (e.g., Daktronics, ClickEffects) is preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, especially under the pressure of a live event.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with game-day staff.
- Technical aptitude for basic A/V troubleshooting.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
