Are you ready to be part of a winning culture?

Our Core Values
Everything we do runs through EPIC:

  • Experience Obsessed. We obsess over the guest experience, from the first ad they see to the last thing they remember.

  • Positive Energy. We bring energy to the work and to each other, especially at hour 14 of a show day.

  • Innovating Constantly. We do not run last year's playbook because it worked last year.

  • Community Minded. We build events that make this community a better place to live.

Job Summary

The Marketing Coordinator owns the execution of marketing campaigns across the Funatix portfolio. Working under the Director of Marketing, this role builds and runs the campaign calendar for assigned events, manages paid media and email, keeps event websites and ticketing pages accurate, fulfills sponsor marketing obligations, and reports on what worked.

This is a doing role as much as a planning role. The Marketing Coordinator writes the brief, launches the ad, sends the email, checks the landing page, and pulls the numbers the next morning. Success is measured in tickets sold, registrations closed, and campaigns that launch on time.

Key Responsibilities

Campaign Management

  • Execute the full marketing campaign calendar for assigned events, from announcement through post-event follow-up as developed and adjusted by the Marketing Director.

  • Keep every assigned campaign on schedule and hold internal partners to creative and content deadlines.

Paid Media and Digital Advertising

  • Build, launch, and manage paid campaigns across Meta, Google, and other digital platforms.

  • Manage campaign budgets and pacing, reallocating spend based on performance rather than plan.

  • Run audience targeting, retargeting, and lookalike strategy using first-party ticket and registration data.

  • Coordinate with outside agency and media partners on placements that stay outside of in-house scope.

Email and Audience Development

  • Build and send campaign emails in Mailchimp, including announcement, on-sale, reminder, and Know Before You Go sequences.

  • Grow, segment, and maintain first-party audience lists across all event properties.

  • Maintain a cadence of two to three sends per week to active audiences during campaign windows.

Web and Digital Presence

  • Keep event websites accurate and current, including ticket pricing, schedules, FAQs, and sponsor recognition.

  • Build and update landing pages in WordPress using content management systems such as Elementor.

  • Coordinate ticketing and registration setup with the operations team so purchase paths work before traffic arrives.

Sponsor Marketing Fulfillment

  • Execute contracted sponsor marketing deliverables, working with the sponsorship team to confirm what is owed and by when.

  • Track fulfillment and supply proof of performance for sponsor recap materials.

Creative Direction and Team Collaboration

  • Write creative briefs as needed for the graphic designer and videographer, including audience, message, format, and deadline.

  • Review creative against brand standards for each event, remembering that each event carries its own visual identity.

  • Provide day-to-day direction to support marketing staff and seasonal support staff.

Reporting and Analysis

  • Report campaign performance weekly, including spend, return on ad spend, traffic, conversions, and pacing to goal.

  • Deliver post-event marketing recaps covering what worked, what did not, and what changes next year.

  • Maintain marketing scorecard metrics and flag misses early rather than at the recap.

Event Support

  • Work event days as needed, including nights, weekends, and holidays during the season.

  • Support on-site marketing activation, media coordination, and live content needs.

Other Duties as Assigned
  • Take on additional responsibilities as the business and the event calendar require.

What We Are Looking For

  • One or more years of marketing experience, ideally in events, sports, entertainment, hospitality, tourism, or agency work.

  • Hands-on experience building and managing paid social and search campaigns, with real budget responsibility.

  • Working knowledge of email marketing platforms, WordPress, and basic analytics tools.

  • Strong writing skills and the ability to move between brand voices without losing either one.

  • Comfort managing many concurrent deadlines across unrelated events.

  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays during event season.

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or equivalent experience.

Career Development

This seat sits directly under the Director of Marketing and carries real ownership from day one. A Marketing Coordinator who runs clean campaigns and grows the numbers has a clear path toward senior marketing leadership as the portfolio expands. Funatix runs on EOS, so priorities, metrics, and expectations are written down and reviewed, not guessed at.

Community Connection

Funatix events are woven into the fabric of North Dakota. Our work supports local nonprofits, drives tourism and hospitality revenue across the state, funds workforce development, and gives families reasons to gather. The person in this seat will see their work show up in their own neighborhood, and will be part of building the traditions this region grows up with.

Benefits and Compensation

  • Salary: Competitive salary range with experience.

  • Insurance: Health, dental, and vision coverage.

  • Paid Time Off: Paid time off, plus flex time following major event weekends.

  • Events: Full access to Funatix events for you and your family.

We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
