About Grand Forks Northwoods League Softball
Grand Forks will be home to a Northwoods League Softball (NWLS) team beginning in the 2026 season, bringing high-level summer collegiate softball to the region. The team will compete at Albrecht Field on the campus of the University of North Dakota, providing top college softball players from across North America with an opportunity to develop their skills in a competitive environment while delivering high-energy entertainment for fans.
The Position
Overview:
We’re looking for a detail-obsessed, creative-minded team member to lead sponsorship activation and marketing for our new summer collegiate softball team in Grand Forks. You’ll bring our corporate partnerships to life, execute unforgettable promotions, and help shape how the community sees and experiences our brand. From planning sponsor deliverables to managing social media and in-game entertainment, this role is all about energy, precision, and delivering EPIC experiences every day.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sponsorship Activation & Fulfillment
- Manage the execution of all sponsorship deliverables, including signage, promotions, digital assets, and on-site activations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for sponsor fulfillment and post-season recaps.
- Collaborate with the ticket sales and events team to ensure sponsors are integrated into fan-facing experiences.
2. Marketing & Promotions
- Develop and execute a marketing calendar that includes game promotions, theme nights, giveaways, and community events.
- Oversee the planning and on-site execution of promotions and entertainment elements during games.
- Help shape the voice and vibe of the team through creative campaigns that resonate with families, students, and fans of all ages.
3. Social Media & Digital Content
- Create and manage engaging content across all team social media platforms.
- Work with photographers, videographers, and designers to showcase the team and its sponsors.
- Monitor performance analytics and adjust content strategy as needed.
4. Brand Management & Community Presence
- Ensure brand consistency across all channels and materials.
- Represent the team at community events and partner activations to grow awareness and build relationships.
- Support grassroots efforts to drive ticket sales and engagement across the Grand Forks area.
5. Reporting & Strategy
- Track sponsor deliverables and compile season recaps with proof of performance.
- Maintain an activation calendar and coordinate internally to ensure execution is smooth and timely.
- Provide insights and ideas for improving the value of sponsorships and marketing campaigns.
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience in marketing, event execution, or partnership activation (sports or entertainment preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Creative thinker who enjoys coming up with fun, outside-the-box ideas.
- Excellent communicator with a customer-first mindset.
- Willingness to work nights and weekends during the season.
