Our Core Values
Everything we do runs through EPIC:

  • Experience Obsessed. We obsess over the guest experience, from the first ad they see to the last thing they remember.

  • Positive Energy. We bring energy to the work and to each other, especially at hour 14 of a show day.

  • Innovating Constantly. We do not run last year's playbook because it worked last year.

This is a creator role with a strategist's brain. The Content Specialist is not waiting for assignments. They are looking at the event calendar three weeks out, deciding what needs to be shot, and showing up with a plan and a camera.

Key Responsibilities

Content Strategy and Planning

  • Own the content calendar across all Funatix event properties and corporate channels.

  • Build shot lists and content plans ahead of every event, so capture is intentional rather than reactive.

  • Develop content series and recurring formats that build audience between events, not just during them.

Capture

  • Shoot photo and video on site at events, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Capture behind-the-scenes, build day, talent, guest reaction, and sponsor activation content.

  • Run live coverage during event days, including stories, reels, and real-time posting.

Production and Editing

  • Edit short-form vertical video for social with fast turnaround, often same day.

  • Cut recap videos, sponsor recap content, and promotional assets for the following year's campaign.

  • Maintain an organized, searchable content library so assets are findable a year later.

Social Media Management

  • Manage day-to-day publishing across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn for the event portfolio.

  • Write platform-native copy that fits each event's voice and each channel's format.

  • Handle community management, including comments, direct messages, and guest questions, escalating service issues to the right person.

  • Track platform changes and format trends, and test new formats rather than waiting for permission.

Writing and Storytelling

  • Write social copy, web copy, blog and article content, and supporting email content.

  • Develop human-interest stories from the event portfolio: competitors, vendors, volunteers, longtime guests, and community partners.

  • Draft scripts for video, emcee content, and promotional spots as needed.

Creative Collaboration

  • Work alongside the graphic designer and videographer to keep visual and written content aligned.

  • Partner with the Marketing Manager so content supports live campaigns instead of running parallel to them.

  • Supply content assets required for sponsor fulfillment and recap materials.

Performance and Growth

  • Report on content and social performance, including reach, engagement, follower growth, and content-driven traffic.

  • Identify what formats and topics actually move the numbers and reallocate effort toward them.

  • Maintain content and social metrics on the marketing scorecard.

Other Duties as Assigned

  • Take on additional responsibilities as the business and the event calendar require.
What We Are Looking For

  • Two or more years creating content professionally, whether in-house, agency, freelance, or for a team or venue.

  • A portfolio. We care more about what you have made than where you made it.

  • Strong video editing skills, including short-form vertical, with working knowledge of Adobe Premiere, CapCut, or comparable tools.

  • Solid photo skills and comfort operating your own capture on a busy event floor.

  • Genuine command of social platforms as a publisher, not just as a user.

  • Sharp writing. Short, specific, and human.

  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays during event season, and to be on your feet all day.
