Advance Scouting Analyst

The Yankees are seeking a data-savvy baseball enthusiast ready to travel with our top affiliates, impact player development, and further the organization's initiatives. As an Affiliate Advance Scouting Analyst, you'll be an integral part of your team - crafting advance scouting reports, delivering actionable analysis, and collaborating across departments to elevate performance from the minors to the majors.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead daily advance scouting operations at minor league affiliates: Create, distribute, and implement cutting edge reports.
- Deliver analysis and research to provide coaches and players with the best development resources.
- Seek data-driven answers for strategic decision making. Pose questions for research and consult with Quantitative Analysis department.
- Educate and implement NYY Advance concepts and philosophy to the coaches, staff and players.
- Team up with Player Development, Quantitative Analysis, and Performance Science to execute affiliate wide initiatives.
- Collaborate with coaches to individualize development plans for players and track their progress toward their goals.
- Support coaches in the dugout/bullpen during games and assist in technology operation.
- Assist the front office with advance scouting for the postseason.
- Participate in continued education and take on individual projects in the offseason
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (required).
- Proficiency with SQL or other modern database technologies preferred.
- Experience with programming languages (i.e., R or Python) preferred.
- Talent for breaking down complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts effectively.
- Demonstrate advanced baseball knowledge; maintains familiarity with sabermetric principles and advanced metrics.
