Overview:
Minor League Baseball Team (Trenton Thunder) located in Trenton, NJ is seeking an experienced controller to join its team.  Ideal candidates will have experience as a Controller or Assistant Controller in a mid-size private company or public accounting experience.  This position is responsible for the overall financial management of the company and subsidiary.

Position Qualifications:
·         BA/BS in accounting finance or other related major
·         Approximately 2+ years of progressive accounting experience, including previous supervisory duties
·         Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office
·         Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

Responsibilities Include:
 ·        Preparation of all financial reports on a monthly basis.
·         Report to senior management and alert them to procedural and substantive financial issues.
·         Work with independent auditor in review of financial transactions and audit preparation.
·         Establish and maintain internal control and policies.
·         Filing of required tax estimates and tax returns, and coordination with accounting firm for all tax compliance matters.
·         Cash management.
·         Prepare and oversee monthly accounts receivable and accounts payable.
·         Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
·         Prepare annual budget and monitor revenues and expenses.
·         Preparation of payroll and maintenance of related records and reports.
·         General ledger accounting.
·         Preparation of depreciation and amortization schedules on capital assets.
·         Prepare game day banks prior to the season.
·         Work in the money room on game days collecting and counting banks during and after game.
·         Prepare game day reports for Garden State Baseball (parking, merchandise, misc. games) and Food Service America (concessions) for each game.
