The Role: The Portland Pickles are looking for a high-energy, logistics-obsessed Food & Beverage Operations Manager. You will be the "Quarterback" of the F&B fan experience at Walker Stadium, overseeing everything from keg lines and nacho cheese to helping a staff of 75+ rockstar bartenders, cooks, and wait staff. This role begins in the pre-season "build" phase and runs through the final out of the summer.

Core Responsibilities

1. Stadium & Concessions Management
  • Pre/Post-Season: Lead the "wake up" and "winterization" of the stadium, including utility checks, deep cleans, and equipment setup.
  • Game Day Command: Direct setup/breakdown for all Pickles and Bangers and Cherry bombs FC games.
  • Maintenance & Safety: Ensure 100% OSHA and food safety compliance. Troubleshoot POS systems on the fly and manage preventive maintenance for all F&B equipment.
  • Sponsorships: Ensure every "Partner of the Game" promotion or branded food item is executed perfectly.

2. Inventory & Vendor Relations
  • Supply Chain: Manage weekly and daily deliveries. Procure, stock, and track inventory with a hawk-like focus on waste reduction.
  • Partnerships: Act as the primary liaison for vendors; validate and approve invoices for payment.

3. Personnel & Leadership
  • The Crew: Help hire, and onboard the seasonal staff pool. Ensure every team member is OLCC/Food Handler certified.
  • Training: Build a culture of "hospitality-first" service. Work with Director to schedule and train up to 50 staff members per game.
  • Supervision: Serve as the working supervisor on game days, providing real-time coaching and resolving any fan or operational escalations.

Qualifications
  • Experience: 2+ years in high-volume F&B management (festivals, stadiums, or large restaurants).
  • Skills: Expert-level understanding of POS systems, inventory software, and labor management.
  • The "Vibe": You thrive in loud, fast-paced environments and can keep a team motivated during a hot July double-header.
  • Certifications: Must have (or be able to obtain) OLCC and Food Handler permits.
