The Mid-State Melon Mashers, a spirited wood-bat baseball team, are seeking a highly motivated and organized Assistant General Manager (Intern) to contribute to our success for the upcoming season. Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the General Manager with administrative tasks, scheduling, and project coordination.
  • Support game day operations, including pre-game setup, in-game execution, and post-game breakdown.
  • Coordinate logistical arrangements for players, staff, and events (e.g., travel, housing, equipment).
  • Contribute to community outreach initiatives, sponsor relations, and fan engagement activities.
  • Assist with inventory management for merchandise, concessions, and team supplies.
  • Provide support for sales and marketing efforts, including data entry and promotional material distribution.
  • Handle general office duties, including managing correspondence, organizing files, and preparing reports.
  • Collaborate with various departments (e.g., marketing, social media, concessions) to ensure smooth operations.
  • Undertake special projects as assigned by the General Manager, contributing to the team's strategic goals.

Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Sports Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and eager to take on new challenges.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the baseball schedule.
  • A genuine passion for baseball and the sports industry.
